Photography

The Austrian photographer Nik Pichler works in advertising, portrait, architecture, and art photography. He operates internationally, has already realized a worldwide campaign, and is currently working on his second. With his chosen art form, Reflection-Art-Photography, he has interpreted nine metropolises as well as the new Opera House in Oslo, the University of Vienna, the Wehrhahn line in Düsseldorf, and the works of Pop Art artist and Andy Warhol’s assistant Steve Kaufman.
“His photos become mirrors for self-observation and self-reflection of our society. As a monumental selfie, the works of Nik make us think about what today’s world actually looks like,“ says Maria Carolina Sandretto and Tony Guerrero, the curators of his “Narcistecture” exhibition in New York’s Whitebox.
Nik Pichler’s photographs are shown in 14 exhibitions in Austria, Germany and the USA. The photographer published two books (“10“ Reflection- Art-Photography and „Reflection-Art für Ihre Abenteuer im Kopf“).

Reflection - Art for your travelling mind
When I travel, I see cities from a different point of view. I experience them in their reflections of everyday life. It is some kind of daydream. It is real, but also just my momentary fantasy. By looking at them, my pictures allow you to create your own city-fantasy. So sit down, relax, and let your mind travel.

"10" Reflection Art Photography
The book “10” describes the ten stations of my Reflection Art Photography on 243 pages. The journey starts in Paris in 2012 and continues to Vienna, Berlin, Naples, New York, Oslo, and Los Angeles before ending in Venice in 2015. My book combines photography, text, and design. With my approach to photography I create moments in which the journey of discovery never ends. My personal recommendations are not only visual but also textual, and I provide space for the readers’ own interpretations with a special design.
