Mirrored, but reflected: The new exhibition “The L.A. Project” in Vienna by internationally renowned photo artist Nik Pichler
After successful exhibitions in Berlin, Zell am See, and New York, photographer Nick Pichler presents his new works in Vienna for the first time in three years. This exhibition also includes the world premiere of the accompanying short documentary by Hollywood director Eric Stern.
What is reflected in shop windows, windshields, and glass facades shows excerpts of today’s world and lets you rediscover it from different perspectives. “Reflection Art” is the art form of photographer Nik Pichler with which he already interpreted nine metropolises, including Oslo’s opera house, the University of Vienna, Düsseldorf’s Wehrhahn line, as well as the works of Pop Art artist and Andy Warhol assistant Steve Kaufman. Now, a tenth city joined this list: For the “L.A. Project”, Nik Pichler created new, complex images that consistently provide new perspectives for its viewers. The exhibition with these new images starts today at “Studio am Naschmarkt”.
